About 2-3 weeks ago, I noticed that I had a pain whenever I would turn my neck to the right. I thought it was because I was sleeping in odd positions and have been super stressed lately.
Then, I randomly decided to feel in the back of my head what the issue was and I felt an enlarged bump at the back of my neck, near the hairline.
I thought it was maybe a knot or something so I let it go.
Then I had my boyfriend feel it and he said to get it checked out. I did some neck massages to help relieve the pain and now I can turn my head without any kind of pain. Went to the docs yesterday and he said it was a swollen lymph node. He said I had one on my left side too but I definitely don’t feel it. I just got sick maybe a few days ago, and have been around my baby brother who has been sick for about 2-3 weeks with cough.
Could this be cancer or worrisome?
How do I make them go away? He said it’s MOST LIKELY not cancer, that he really didn’t think it was but he wanted me to do a follow up in a month.
Someone please help relieve the stress I’m feeling right now! I’m so scared I don’t even know what to think.
Thanks!

If this helps at all, he said it was 0.8 centimeters. It’s not rock hard and last time I did touch it, it was able to move!
Doctor told me not to touch it but I just want it to go away.
