So just recently I decided to help my parents out as they are getting older by moving back into "home" with them so I could help them out financially and fix up the house. However,I noticed my dating life has taken a plunge. As soon as a girl ask me if I have my own place, and I am honest with them, they don't return my phone calls or text messages.
I'm 27, have a good job, keep in shape, and maintain a good healthy lifestyle. Is it that much of a turnoff if I choose to live at "home?"
Successful 27 year old male. Moved back into parents house to help them out. Is it a turn off?

They are your parants my dear, who make you able to do everything in your life. They hold your finger and teach you that how to walk and they teach you so many things also now they need you... so it's your decision my friend.
But, firstly you should think that what you want from your own child in future in the same situation and then you will got the answer.
Unfortunately, yes thats the reason. If you lived in Canada it wouldnt matter because kids to stay at home forever. Here in the US we're big on our own places.
There are ladies out there who will find it to be a turn on instead of a turn off because they recognize a good heart and a man who has empathy and who is responsible and caring and who value those qualities in a guy.
I would suggest staying off the topic of residence for as long as possible. Let the gal get to know all your fine qualities and be interested enough in you that while it might be something she questions she will hang in.
Come up with a handy loving story about the move home and use it when you have to do your explanation. The ones who hang in are the good potentials!
Good luck and you and your parents have a Happy Thanksgiving.
