Add 36 to 8 to have x2=44 and then square root 44 to get x=6.6332495807, round to x=6.63

√(x^2) = ±x

±x - 36 = 8 Add 36 to both sides.

±x = 44

x = ±44

I suspect that you have not presented the problem correctly.

x2 means xsquared

If we take square of LHS then 36 will be underoot then after simplifying 8/2root9
Or
