My mom is trying to sue my dad for letting me get a tattoo at 16. What will happen? What will be the result?

You're dad may have let you get a tattoo, but did he also talk to your mother about it? Do they have joint custody or does your dad have full custody of you?
if they have joint custody over you, then it would be a bad idea to get a tattoo without the written permission of both parents. Many states have laws like this that do not allow minors to get a tattoo or piercing without permission from their parents. She may be able to sue if they have joint custody and your mother didn't agree on a tattoo.
A tattoo is also a big decision you must be absolutely sure you want your tattoo because it stays with you for life, you're putting a permanent mark on your body unless you get it removed, which is painful, can be expensive and may leave scars after removal.
I personally don't believe tattoos are a good thing, I wouldn't want my kid to get one, So I can't help agreeing with your mom.
yes they have joint custody.
I do not mean to offend, but since your parents have joint custody I would expect to see more this in the future and yes it's possible for your mother to sue your dad because he didn't have your mothers written permission to get a tattoo.
This has become a big deal, hasn't it?!!
I'm sure I wouldn't have wanted my 16yr old to
get a tattoo.
Obviously, it has become such a big thing
because of yr parents' situation.
At yr age,I was a child of divorced parents also.
It will escalate into full- time (war like)
uncomfortableness.
Do you think you could wait 2 yrs? When you're
an adult, you can do-as-you-like!
No parents interfering!
