Hi there! So I'm not sure if any of this will help but,
So first, all the verses are essentially the same. They are each 4 lines, with a rhyming pattern of ABCB. They each start with the I chord (i.e in D major, a D major chord), then go to a V Chord (i.e in D major, an A major chord), and then go back to I, then V. Each verse also has the essentially same melody. Also, while the song is 4/4, there is a lot of emphasis on the 1st and 4th beat, giving it a sort of different feel than your classic 1&2&3&4&. There is a lot of repetition in the song, so just like the verses are essentially the same, the choruses are too. The choruses have a VI, V, I, IV chord progression. Also, in the beginning, there is a layering effect from just the guitar to the guitar and drums etc.
One theme of the song is the guitar solo thing (bum bum bum bum bumbum bum bum bum bum bumbum) (I know, very specific). The harmonies are usually in thirds or, if the melody is "sol" (solfegge wise) then, the fourth above like to make the chord, (sorry if this is really bad) The bridge is a really different theme and is very dramatic, including accidentals (so in a way a key change where the bridge is based around another note)
And then it changes back to the original key, ends with a verse and refrain.
Sorry if this was like all really bad
