I'm very sorry to hear that. When my own grandmother died, it was the worst point of my life. On hearing the news, I almost collapsed. I spent the whole night out of doors, at one point punching the earth on the school field at 3am.
It's very common to work through various stages of grief and by knowing about them, you know where you are and what is liable to come next (and when you may feel better). The generally accepted stages are:
Denial (I didn't believe it when I was told she'd died and couldn't accept I'd never see her again)
Anger (that was me punching the ground)
Bargaining (asking God to bring her back or thinking what you could do differently to have her alive again)
Depression (this is where you have faced up to what has happened and it is overwhelming you - this may be where you are now)
Acceptance (this is where you have reconciled it. You know it has happened You are sad but you can get on with your life)
My grandma has been dead for a number of years now but I still think about her nearly every day. You never truly get over it but eventually you look back and smile rather than look back and cry.
I am really, really sorry to hear you are going through it.
