I am a U.S. permanent resident since 2014. I work, so I pay Social Security taxes. However, I'm 62 and don't plan on working for another 15 years to acquire the 40 credits required to collect Social Security benefits. Am I forced to pay it even though I will never collect?

yea its a hard situation to grasp on to but when you work it doesn't matter where it is or what you have been doing they take social security out and it goes toward retirement or through the social security act kinda the same way they take taxes out the same medicare rates they also take out
