Drain cleaners are not per or even human friendly. They do contain some strong chemicals (like caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite etc) that can cause some serious skin or eye irritations. They might also leave some nasty "salt-like" residues; so if I were you, I'd use it only for its own purpose, and not on any other surfaces, especially were children or pets are around. Be safe:)
