So my xbox 360 is modded and a system update from xbox live is available is it safe to updatemy xbx?

if the modded firmware is iXtreme LT+ 3.0 it might be safe do update or even play xbox live with burner max games. but theres always a risk that it might freeze your xbox or ban you from xbox live and you have to mod it allover again.
