... life is a little financially tight right now so im worried about tuition and such. Almost a decade ago i did a half semester of liberal arts crap before i realized i was wasting my nonexistent money studying nothing without a goal. I dropped out before i could rack up any more debt but when the bills came i couldnt pay and they went into collections. They have since been collected from my taxes and i havent had any of my tax return docked for years so its been repayed just not the way it should have been which i fear will disqualify me from recieving aid again. Also i dont currently have the time to dedicate to a physical classroom or the gas to get there. Im hoping i could at least start online until my situation loosens a bit but none of my local colleges offer online courses in the field i want to study. Which is biology. Environmental freshwater to be specific. But so many science courses are labs. Im hoping there are some 101 types courses offered at accredited online schools i could take and have the credits transfered when i can physically participate. Ideas anyone?

You don't say what age you are, and that is important. If you are still pursuing your education after 30 it is unlikely that you will ever catch it.
Another problem is that you don't know what an education is, so you have to rely on advice from other people, who also didn't know what education is, and so on, all the way back to a sacred grove named Akademos near Athens, Greece. Membership was by invitation only, members claimed ownership of all knowledge, and anything discovered by an outsider was rejected. Yes, our academic system was created by a bunch of religious nuts. The only change sine then is that they conducted classes while walking outdoors and we conduct classes while seated indoors.
So you need to get control of your situation. The one thing that will boost your earning power more than any other detail is vocal skill: especially story telling. There is a reason why salesmen are usually great story tellers. The second thing you want is acting ability. Acting skill will get you a job offer even when you are not qualified for the job, unless you are interviewed by the person you would actually be working for.
