-what is a period(why or how theres blood coming out of me..)
-how i get rid of the pain
-how to ask my dad for pads
-what i should use instead of a pad rn since theres none
-anything i need to know about how to use a pad or anything in general.
So, I just got my period and I'm freaking out, Im 11 and w/out my mom, and can somebody help me?

Plz dont freak out.
1.A period is basiclly blood or blood lumps coming off the walls of your vagina, and all female will eventually have one.
2.You can get rid of the pain by avoiding cold food(ice cream, popsicles) or placing pressure on your stomach 10 seconds a time...there are many other ways.
3.It is ok to just ask your dad,but remember to ask him privatly!!!Your dad will understand.
4.You can use a big piece of cotton wool and wrap it with toilet paper.
5.Well,remember to change your pad in 2 to 3 hours and remember to get special underwear.Well, you can ask me later if you have trouble doing something.
Hope this helps:)
dont worie i gocha sence u dont have pads try using toilet paper ok i just started to so i know how to tell your dad just walk to him sit down and say dad i started and he will under stand. well you body has a monthly system just circle the week on a calender that you started and circle the same few days the nxt month then you will have another piriod near that time. and it not blood its a red fluid produced by your body and you must wash or shower thrueout you whole piriod week and eat bananas they help with pain. you must place the sticky part of the pad in your underwear. and i was glad to help you by the way im 15 so all my friends told me
periods come once a month for 5-7 days at a time. since you have only just gotten it, it will be all over the place and come at random times of the month for the next few years!
wrap toilet paper around your underwear and change it as often as possible as toilet paper is thin. I suggest you ask your dad straight away if he can buy you pads and possibly tampons. since you are new, you might want to stick to using pads only.
you should speak to your dad privately one afternoon and say "Dad, I just got my period for the first time. could you please take me to the shops to buy some pads" he will understand, I promise! if your not comfortable talking to him directly, write him a note! if you have any aunties or friends mums, maybe you'd be more comfortable talking to them about this and getting advice!
to get rid of the pain drink lots of water! placing a heating pad on your stomach will get rid of cramps :)
when you go to the shops buy regular pads with wings as I personally think they are better. Also buy over night pads as your period will be heavier at night. you should try lay as still as possible on your back when you sleep and lay on a towel.
When your period is coming to an end it will be lighter so also buy liners as they are thinner and are perfect for when your period is light.
Change your pad every 3-4 hours or when ever you feel is necessary.
I also recommend buying black underwear to wear when you have your period each month. you will most likely leak a fair bit so if you wear black underwear, you wont be able to see the stains.
if you do leak remove fresh blood stains buy rinsing you undies or pants in cold water then scrubbing it with soap. to remove dried blood stains soak the garment in water then scrub with soap. if that doesn't work, apply toothpaste to the stained area and wait for it to dry. then rinse with water and scrub with soap. repeat if necessary.
good luck and welcome to womanhood! :)
1. Periods are an egg passing through the phelopian tube, then into the uterus. If the egg is fertilised by a male, then it would stick to the lining of the uterus. In this case it isn't, because your 11. So, the lining and the egg come out as blood, which results in your period.
2. You could use pills or get a hot water bottle and putting that on your hurting area or have a hot bath. Mild exersise also helps.
3. Yes I know your dad doesn't know what it is like to have a period, but he does know why and how it happens. You can also contact your mum.
4.get some toilet paper ( about 30 or so squares ) and wrap it around your hand. Then slide the toilet paper off your hands And put it in your pants. You could also put some double sided tape on the bottom to help it stick better.
5. Get the pads with wings. They are more secure I. Your underwear. Don't flush pads/tampons down the toilet because they will clog it up. there are many guides on how to use pads on YouTube/ Google. You can't use a pad when swimming. Only tampons for swimming.
