... expecting much (because I doubted that a parent would hire someone with little to no experience) I actually got an email from a member, saying they are relocating to my hometown due to a job transfer, and need someone to take care of their two kids. So far so good.
Now, the person emailed me saying they'll send me a check to supply me with groceries and stuff to take care of them. A day after that, I received an email notifying me that this user's account has been terminated for one reason or another(it wouldn't tell me) and warned me that it is possible that this guy could be a scam. So, I emailed this person back and told them this, and they informed me that in their first email with me, they actually already told me that their account was about to expire, so I might receive a message like that from the website. I go back and look at the first email they sent me, and it turns out their right, they did inform me that their account was going to expire soon. I didn't notice it at first because it was at the very bottom of the email.
Still, I'm a little wary. Just today I received a check from them for $1650.00. They told me that I should deposit it in my bank account, but I can't shake the feeling that it's still a scam. I'm thinking about emailing them back and asking them if it's okay if I can use physical money instead. Actually, I'm looking at the email right now and they said they want me to deposit it in an account so it clears on time. What do they mean by "clears on time?" Are they trying to make sure that I'm not a scam or something?
So yeah, any advice?
Really, it's seriously possible to edit emails after they've been sent?
And damn, I haven't thought of that...
