... knew each other before she first introduced us and immediately suspected that i was going after him and all that. to make a horrible, month-long story short, she stopped being my friend because she didn't like that i was friends with her boyfriend. well, the now ex-boyfriend (he dumped her at the end of january for being "too clingy" and "too possessive") and myself still talk quite a lot and actually became closer as friends since they broke up.
i'm not sure if i actually like him enough to risk our friendship for a real relationship. the real question is, should i see what my ex-best friend thinks about if i were to date her ex-boyfriend? we haven't talked since she stopped being my friend and she has been acting as though i don't exist. i know this is usually taboo with friends and ex-boyfriends, but i'm confused because i'm in this situation.
So, a few months ago, my best friend of four years starting dating a guy. she didn't know that we?

The key words here are "ex" and "friend". If you call her your ex-best friend, she's not talking to you, and acting like you don't exist, she is indeed an ex-friend. Out of your life perhaps forever. And he is an ex-boyfriend, note the "ex" part. If you want to start a thing with this guy, you're not doing anything wrong. A good friend stays by your side no matter what happens. Others are more fickle and come and go like clockwork. If this ex-friend left you because she believed some perceived lie, forget her for now. She's only concerned about herself not giving the other two in this any thought at all. Good riddance. So if you care for this guy, go get him, move on and enjoy yourself. lol
Girls, girls, friendship is the most important thing in both of you girls. Treasure your friendship, it's quite a long time for you not talking each other. Don't exchange friendship to that guy, if the guy has a good manner, he shouldn't give the both of you problem. Take time to think and recall your time to your friend for a long time.
