Should Religion Be Involved in Politics?

We can look to Jesus for the answer. Jesus did not get involved in the politics of the world. He did not seek political power, and he did not take sides on political issues.

However, he did promote a heavenly government, God's Kingdom. He did not get involved in politics because he knew God's Kingdom, not human governments, would achieve what God wants for the earth. He understood that God's Kingdom would not operate through human governments but would replace them. Daniel 2:44

Like Jesus, a true follower would not get involved in politics.
