Should politicians be allowed to give themselves rases?why?

ok..so i have this "ISSUE RESEARCH PROJECT" and my topic is..SHOULD POLITICIANS BE ALLOWED TO GIVE THEMSELVES RAISES?WHY?..and i picked this topic because i have an issue about politicians and i thought i can give alot of reasons why...but actually i don't have a lot information as i thought i have..so.i just wanna have some opinion about this topic..and just to let ya'll know I HATE POLITICIANS..because they are one reason our country is suffering..

The land should be sold to the private sector; the private sector knows how to develop. And especially a school district doesn't have a clue. Give the land to the professionals. ... As for a 'gray' area, I have questions whether convention centers or sports arenas should be allowed.
