Okay so I know that there's many reasons why people should use manners but is there any reasons to not use them? I'm doing a school project and manners is my topic and i'm trying to fine reasons why manners are not important. Please answer my question if you have time, please and thank you!

I personally believe that manners are very important in our society, to let people know how you feel. If you are someone who usually uses manners but doesn't thank someone for something, they will know that you are annoyed. However, there are many manners that are outdated, such as using your phone at the table. Smartphones have become a part of everyday life to most people, and although people may argue that meal time is a time to talk to your family, how are you supposed to talk while eating without talking with a mouthful which is bad manners? So, some manners are outdated and somewhat irrelevant and some are just a waste of time with no actual benefits, but most are good.
The first thing you should do is look up your subject in the dictionary to be sure you know what you are talking about. "Manners" does not mean what you seem to think it means. Second you should look up all the books you can find to see what other people think. One such book is "Miss Manners Guide To Excruciatingly Correct Behavior" www.amazon.com/s?field-keywords=miss%20manners An even more famous author is Emily Post. All authors on the subject discuss reasons to be concerned about correctness of behavior, and you need to read them.
