I'm writing on a story (short one, but hey) and I've been writing from this persons POV only. Not in the I and me fashion, but so that the readers see what he sees and knows what he thinks. But now I'm up to the main event in the story, and it is happening to another character, and I really can't decide whether to switch the POV to the second person just because of this event to get a more detailed version or stick with the original person but get a dulled version of what happens, what he sees and thinks.

I understand what you mean. It can be difficult to decide which perspective will be more effective. There are pros and cons to both. If you stick with the main character's POV, then the story will continue to flow well, but the description of the main event you speak of might not be as powerful and effective. If you change to the other character's POV, it might be strange to have a sudden change in perspective, but at least your readers will get the full effect of the main event. The choice is ultimately yours. It's a difficult decision. Maybe try writing two separate drafts. One with the main character's perspective and one with the other character's perspective, then see which one you like the best. I hope this helps a little. All the best with your story!! :)
Writing both is a good idea, I'll try that! I guess you're right, I'll just have to decide in the end. Thank you for the answer!
