If I'm not mistaken, Demark is a country with a fairly small military as it is, though well trained and equipped according to my research. It is also surrounded by non-hostile nations, most of which are constitutional monarchies, representative democracies, or a mixture of the two. Most of these countries, if I'm not mistaken, have a culture that is almost explicitly anti-war, as well as fair minded and equitable.
If not for the fact that Denmark holds overseas territories and a strategic position at the mouth of the Baltic Sea, I would say your country is the ideal candidate for that kind of grandiose social experiment.
It would surely be a leap of faith. Far from weak, I would consider it the most ballsy move ever made by a sovereign state. And in a world of ever-advancing technology, much of which has the potential for widespread destruction, such a move might just go down in history as the catalytic salvation of the human race.
