Last night I dreamed about having cancer and my parents knew from a long time but didn't want to tell me and when I started to get more sick they got in a huge fight and started blaming each other . I kept thinking about this dream the entire day and I think I need someone to talk to about this but I'm afraid to tell my mom cause I don't want to make her upset

i would let mom know just so she can be there for you it might help her understand if you might be moody or just not sure why you had a dream like that sometimes we don't have control over our dreams did you go to bed with something on your mind sometimes if a bad thing happen or you had a bad day sometimes with out really thinking about it we have those type of dreams they dont really make alot of sense
The thing to consider is what the dream actually meant. If does NOT mean you have or will get cancer. The cancer represents a secret they have which concerns you that they are in disgreement about. The secret only means they don't want to dicuss it in front of you because they get upset about it.
It might be something like you mum want's to allow you something and your dad doesn't, or even to do with another relative. What is likely to have triggered the dream is that you overheard them confronting about it and they shut up when they realised you were there. So unconsciously your mind is wondering what is it they don't want me to know about, which was symbolised in the dream.
Thus you do not need to tell your mom about the dream, but you might try to find out if they are fighting over something.
