I am a 17 year old girl and I have liked a guy in my class since 7th grade. I am now in 10th grade and am still in the same class as him. He is the smartest guy I know and also one of the most hard working. He is really funny and never fails to bring a smile on peoples faces. I have told several girls about my feelings towards him and have made it obvious that I like him. I am positive that he knows I like him. He gave me a valentines card last year which was anonymous but he confirmed that he was the person who wrote it. The valentines card just said that he though that I was very interesting in class and that he thinks I'm really nice. Please help me; should I confront him and tell him that I like him or should I stay away from him?

What have you got to loose?
I say go for, although don't come right out and be all "HEY! I REALLY, REALLY LIKE YOU. LIKE REALLY LIKE YOU, YOU KNOW?"
That might put him off.
But if you just say something like "Do you like me?"
And he say's "Yes."
You could then reply, "Do you want to hang out some time?"
You should definitely tell him, but in the right way. You don't want to scare him, so be casual about it. If you never say anything then you'll just drive yourself crazy wondering if he likes you or not, and clearly this isn't going away any time soon.
Worst case scenario is that he says no to you, which may be hard at the time, but then it will be far easier to move on, so either way, you win eventually.
I say go for it.
Obviously hes felt a spark between u both also cos he wouldnt tell u about the card. B straight with him and ask him out. Of hes shy then be discreet and tell him ur nervous too. He can be feelin the same. If he doesnt say yes then say its fine and say friends it is then. Make light of it and b confident so it wont seem a big deal. Its hes loss if not and dont worry if thats the case. Ul meet ur soulmate
Yeah you should! when a guy gave a girl a Valentines Card, means he gave you a green light to go. But remember, you should go step by step and slowly by slowly. Because if you are too direct, I don't think it will work. You have to build the chemistry first and that's good that you making it obvious because he might feel mysterious and more interesting.
Let me quote you: "The valentines card just said that he though that I was very interesting in class and that he thinks I'm really nice"
–––––> it was A VALENTINES CARD he wrote you, girl!! What are you wainting for?!
plus i would add i think he may be one of those shy guys, but, again, c'mon, it was a valentine card, not some lousy note written on a piece of t.p. with a crayon…
:-) i wish you all the best in this world (-:
