I'm a sophomore in hs and will be a junior next year. I've been taking piano lessons for around 9 years now and 8 of the 9 were with 1 teacher who was awesome but he kind of retired. So I've been taking lessons with this lady and I don;t know if it's her or me, but I've been getting less and less excited to play or practice. I haven't practiced in like 2 weeks and i skipped a lesson for the first time in all my 9 years, Plus at my school junior year is the hardest because I'm taking high level classes that demand more focus and time.
It's not that I don't like the music I'm playing (except one), it's just like I've gotten over it? If I quit I won't stop playing piano and I feel as if I've come so far that now if I do want to play my own music I've learned so much that I'll be able to.
So should I quit? I'll have to quit anyway before college so should I just get it over with now before the summer?
Should I quit piano?
