I'm a collector and have been collecting action figures from a certain toy line. Most of the figures in the line are in the region of £44.99 so I've been focusing on the cheaper ones over the past year. However, the toyline is coming to the end of it's tether and they are starting to disappear from shelves.
Unfortunately, my local store is out of a particular toy and only has one left which is broken. The rest they still seem to have. If I don't buy this broken one then I would have to shell out hundreds on eBay and the toy might be easily fixed. I checked with the store at they are not restocking this item for the foreseeable future so this is my last chance.
They have also reduced the item by 30% (£31.49) but it still seems a lot of money for a figure where the main gimmick doesn't work.
I also have my eyes on another figure from this same line (which they still have in stock thankfully) so I'm thinking of negotiating a deal. If they drop the original price by 50% (£22.50) I would buy that AND the other figure for £44.99
Do many shops allow this?
Is this a deal they would consider?
I know for a fact that this product has been sitting on the shelf since last summer so surely they would want rid of it.
