Me and my husband would like to name our son Castiel, however my parents are against it, saying its too unique and he will be bullied, what do I do?

I think that it matters as to what you want to name him that's what matters most I would meet them in the middle to select a name together cause I think that would make you happy how does his parents feel about it? You should have say thou cause it is your son you have to be happy with the name you want.
My sister named her son Renton after some comic book character or something like that. Anyways even though I didnt understand why she would pick that name, I respected it and respected her for it was her choice as well as her right to name her son whatever name she saw fit. We all got use to it and it doesnt dictate how much we love him. Now I believe his name fits him very well and im glad i kept my opinion to myself. My mom calls him georgie as his nick name and everyone is happy. This is one of the exciting fun things as a parent that u get to do; dont let someone take that from u. They gave their kids the names they wanted and now its ur turn to do the same. :)
Ok thank you
Thank you, that's quite helpful. His parents aren't concerned about what their grandchildren are called, its just mine. They're quite strict when it comes to naming children, they want me and Dean to give him a "traditional" name like James, David, Mark or Richard. However I absolutely adore the name Castiel. I think that's a great idea, I shall try and make it his middle name and give him a first name they choose so that we are all happy.
