My class is holding a pool party for all of us, but I'm a bit of a loner in our class. I have only one friend whom i hang out with in class. As someone who doesn't really interact much with my other classmates, i feel like it would be awkward to attend this pool party. I feel like I'd have nerves to turn up to such an event. What would there be to celebrate when I've hardly joined in on class fun? I don't want to be left out of the pool party but I rarely talk to anyone in my class apart from that one friend. Should i go? I'm really conflicted.

Hia!! :3 if you want to go to the pool party, go for it! You may be a loner but you could always work on trying to be a friend to one of the other students, or, if your other friend is going, then go with them, if anyone complains, oh well, you're part of the class, they shouldn't leave you out just because you don't talk to people a lot, this is your chance, go for it! Go to the pool party!
I reccommend that you go, after all, it is a class event. You seem like someone who doesn't want to be noticed very much due to a shy personality. I'm the same way. I only have two close friends. I still attend classroom events because I know that if I don't go, people will be wondering why and then I'll be noticed and talked about alot. Go to the party with your friend but if you don't want to be involved, casually step into a corner and observe or talk with your friend so you don't look that shy.
It must be difficult to go through life with no common sense.
Where do you live that you can go to a pool party in December, South Africa?
A casual party where everyone is relaxed is the perfect place to talk to people and start doing what you should have been doing all along, socializing.
