Should I get black or wheat timberlands?

I want to get a pair of timbs but I'm having trouble choosing between black and wheat (regular).

Black hides dirt, but shows salt. Wheat shows all.
Either way, buy a waterproofing oil or spray and treat them before wearing. They will last twice as long. Good purchase.
