just discovered this site and i love it.
i was married to a man who had no college degree. i never thought it would be a problem at the time but the eight years i was married to him were miserable. he was insecure. talking to my parents or friends would result to punches. i decided to walk out after realising that the marriage would not work.,even after a couple of counselling sessions.
i have been seeing someone for the last few months and just like my ex husband he has no college degree.he says that does not bother him. frankly,i have not seen any signs of insecurity.
i am however afraid of taking it seriously. what if he becomes intimidated and abusive? i dont think the level of education really matters in a relationship but it did disturb my ex. am i making the same mistake i made when i got married?
