I live in Puerto Rico. I don't speak Spanish very well, but I have the potential to learn. I can connect words into sentences if I learned a few nouns and verbs along the way. I really don't feel like living the rest of my life alone, especially on this island. Right now, I have a few women who seem to be interested in me (I can tell by body language) at my school, but should I pursue one? Is it worth such? I've heard from many that having a girlfriend of the opposite language would be more beneficial to giving me further motivation to learning that language, but is this true?

I think that if you really like this girl who speaks Spanish, possibly even love her, then you should if it means that much to you. Also, just because you are single now, it doesn't mean you will be forever. It also doesn't mean that you will be with this Spanish Speaking girl forever.
