Social media is the most commonly used form of communication.Recently stats SA has revealed that the inappropriate use of social media has led to so many qualified workers losing their jobs. Now the question is *should employers monitor employee's email, facebook etc to protect the vested interest and reputation of the company?

You sell your time to an employer, so you use that time according to your employer's instructions. That is a simple matter of honesty. If you have a personal email account or Facebook account which you do not use for company business, it is an invasion of privacy for the company to be concerned about that.
I would say you need to rewrite the question and post again because it is still vague.
Please the additional info above because I had to rephrase the question,as it was vague
