I'm 16 and in high school and this girl one day asks for my number so I gave it to her and we started texting. We became pretty close and said to me one day through text nonchalantly that she thinks I'm cute, funny, and super kind/respectful, but continued with the the other conversation ignoring she said it (she was shy about saying that) well I like her a lot because of her personality and she is super pretty, but she doesn't know I like her. We flirted and joked all the time until one day she asks me who this one guy in band was (we both take band) and I told her. Well I'm friends with the dude she asked about and he knows I like her. She briefly talked with my friend, and idk why, but he gave her his number. Well she texts me all the time still, but she also texts him. She sometimes talks about him and stuff. One day I overheard her tell another one of my friends that she likes my friend. Well I'm super pissed at my friend because he knows I like her. Anyway all I wanted to be was friends with the girl, but still like her a lot, and we are really close, but honestly I'm so confused what just happened. Idk honestly what to do about the situation and if she even likes me anymore or if I should leave it alone and just be friends and wait. She doesn't know that I like her.
She likes me but now idk if she does now?

Here is the updated story now. So I talked to her about it and how I sometimes feel like a third wheel and she said that I shouldn't feel like that and she cares about me just as much as my friend. Well 3 days later I asked my friend if he liked her and he said he didn't. Well next week they both came up to me and she said that she didn't like me and she liked my friend and that my friend liked her. Well now I'm mad at my friend because he straight up lied to me and told her I like her. Well I talked to him about it and all he said was he knew he shouldn't have done that, which was a crappy apology but whatever, but he doesn't think he's wrong and he keeps talking and flirting with her. I also talked to her about it and I told her how I wasn't mad at her because it was her choice to pick him over me, but I was mad at my friend because of what he did. Well she got mad at me because I was mad at him, but I have every right to be mad at him. Well she is ignoring me and I went up to her and confronted her about that and she was like well your mad at the dude I like, and there was nothing to be mad about, which was complete bullcrap because she knows exactly what he did, but she's blinded by her love. Then she said that I'm jealous and stuff and that's when I blew up on her. I basically said to her that I was over that whole damn thing and that I didn't like her anymore and that I just wanted to be friends and though I'm mad at my friend, I'm fine with you liking him. I'm pretty sure she's mad, but idc because I have other friends and I don't need her drama anymore, so because of all the immature things she's doing. Idk if I should even be friends anymore.

Idk if I should continue being friends? Do you guys think it's fine to stop being her friend and ignore her now because she's mad at me for all that stuff and she ignoring me? Thanks

So I should talk to her about it? Ask her what's going on and what's up with our friendship? It's kinda annoying because my friend keeps talking with her and he knows he's pissing me off. What I don't understand is that she still flirts with me, but likes him, but doesn't even know him.
can I be your friend
I guess, idk who you are though
I will date you
"I will date you" IM DYING IM CRYING OMG
Yeah that happens a lot. Just ask her out and say if she doesn't want to go out with him then just be friends. If she says "give me ___ days/weeks to think about it" just ignore her then. She'll leave you hanging because she doesn't want to hurt you.
jillandhum I love you babey
Im taken XD
That might not be true Boss.
I know, what you feel... I've been in a similar situation. Here's my suggestion- forget about her, ignore her. I think she's kind of a person, who using people for her own purpose. Maybe sometime later she will tell you that "this guy meant nothing, I always liked you..." but that will be a complete bullshit. Well, I'm judging from my own experience.
Do you ever stop talking?
that's a brilliant idea
this is a really good suggestion
