It's been a while, I don't remember when it started, but I've been having random sharp pains around the abdominal area. The pain doesn't last long at all, maybe 10 sec at the most. It isn't extremely painful, it hurts just a tiny bit. I don't think it's anything I consume that triggers it and it doesn't seem to just be cramps. On average, it happens at least once a day. I want to tell my parents to take me to the hospital for a check-up but I'm not sure how to tell them. There's sort of a language barrier. I've only thought about how serious this could be because I received news today that my sister had appendicitis and was getting her appendix removed. After searching up appendicitis, pain along the lower or upper abdomen was one of the symptoms.
Does anyone know what this might be? Any advice on how to tell my parents?
If any of you are wondering about my age, I'm sixteen years old.
Sharp Abdominal Pain?

Could be anything from appendicitis (which is not inheritable) to gall bladder problems to liver problems. Any kind of internal recurring pain should be looked at by a doctor. I don't understand how you can have a language problem with your parents. You're 16 you should tell them and they should make an appointment to take you to go and see a doctor.
Curious.. but ok, you should still go see a doctor. Perhaps you could explain the problem to your school medic/doctor and see what he/she has to say? Either way you being safe is teh most important thing and if this is really bothering you then you need to put your foot down and persuade your parents to make the appointment. If they care they should do this. Wishing you luck and health :)
Thanks for your concern! c:
I don't speak my cultural language very well or fluently and my parents don't speak English very well, but thank you for answering.
