I am looking for a quote which I can use as a sort of spring board to lead me into my creative/describing writing assignment. There are no real limits about what I can write about as long as the quote is from a Shakespeare play. I don't have to write about the quote itself, it is just there to look like I have been inspired to write what I've wrote by the quote, if that makes any sense at all. Please help me... any suggestions for quotes or what I could write about would be great :) Bob - Massachusetts.

I'd avoid picking something too well-known because people may feel ownership of it. I'd rule out Hamlet, Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet immediately for that reason despite them being eminently quotable and meaningful. I'd pick something known but not too well-known. I like this from Twelfth Night.
She sat like patience on a monument,
Smiling at grief. Was not this love indeed?
The greater context is:
It's essentially about unrequited or unfulfilled love (and the difference between men and women). The greater context is:
She never told her love,
But let concealment, like a worm i' the bud,
Feed on her damask cheek: she pined in thought,
And with a green and yellow melancholy
She sat like patience on a monument,
Smiling at grief. Was not this love indeed?
We men may say more, swear more, but indeed
Our shows are more than will; for still we prove
Much in our vows, but little in our love.
Ahh, you're more than welcome. Although I can't really take much credit for the universality of Shakespeare and that it's relevant to what you want to do. That's just the beauty of Shakespeare. It's about real stuff, isn't it? Things that make us realise people are all the same, no matter when we were born.
Glad to hear this fits in with what you want to do, too. And I agree with you. There are *all* kinds of directions you could take with this. I'm half-jealous that I'm not doing it too!
I just wanted to thank you for that quote again, my writing is going really good up too now ad is all fitting together nicely and overall my assignment seems to be one of the best in the class, so thanks :)
Have you tried to google it? I want you to know that there are lots quotes online based on Shakespeare works. However, if you need to write a paper about it, you may do that with the help of the writers from the source I use. Check it please by Marvelous essay service.
I agreed with ruling out well know plays because of similar reasons and I also like this particular quote because it fits in with what I am planning to write about, it is from a not so well known play and there looks to be a lot of ways which I could adapt the meaning of it to fit into my writing. Thank you :)
