We've been streaming now for about 6 yrs and want to know what are we doing wrong (if anything). Our stream host tells us that we have the ability to hold 1000 listeners but when we reach 50+ it start to lose a significant amount of listeners based on our Sam Broadcaster graph. We drop about 10-20 listeners instantly keeping us at 40-50 listener range consistently, almost as if we're being chocked down to keep us at that range. Is there something we're not doing to be able to hold 50+ listeners consistently? We currently just use regular internet service with 1.5Mbps upload speed.

I answered according to the only information I had. You should go to your host and ask for an explanation.
Trust me i have for the past 6 years they always blame it on us. They say maybe we lost connection at some point. If that were true, why is it always at about 50 listeners?
I would like to find a person who currently has an internet station that consistently holds 300-500 listeners and simply ask them how their system is setup.
If your service provider doesn't provide acceptable service, you find another one.
We have had 3 different stream host and it's the same result every time.
I'm sorry, I have told you everything I know. You just have to find a technical adviser who can look and see what's wrong.
So what is the purpose of having a stream host server? If our stream host tells us the server they've put us on is capable of handling 1000 listeners? Isn't it just a matter of getting our signal to the server and the server does the rest?
