A college professor and his wife, who is a preschool teacher, tease each other about who is responsible for the “smarts” of their four honor children. Both have seemingly average parents and two high-achieving and two low-achieving siblings each. Can you draw a pedigree with predictive value for this situation? Why or why not?

That is not science. It is a stupid riddle. The answer is no because "smart" is an opinion. "Low-achieving" happens because they were pushed into something contrary to their natural talents.
