Home › Questions › Schools were built to teach...
Africa and India each have 1/7 of the world's population. You ask as if you think they were little villages in the jungle.
Ask something else.
Is the noun which is supposed to go into the blank meant to refer to
- what (e.g. reading and writing, ... name a subject)
or
- who (e.g. children, ... name a group)
is to be taught?
Common sense says schools weren't built to teach elephants, they wouldn't fit in the chairs.
Therefore, one must assume schools are for children and that is the missing word.
