I'm 16 and I've been having panic attack due to thinking about death as I am scared of it. I can't get over it due to it being unavoidable and also not knowing what will happen. I have asked to see someone about it but my parents have just been saying I'll get over it but it started when I was about 7 and I still have it now however they still just tell me there is no point.

Hi.. I had panic attacks too about dying, and life after death when I was about 9 years old. Now I'm 50. I've made it this far - so can you. Personally after 50 years of life I've given this subject way too much thought, but I've come to believe there is too much information on the subject for there not to be some sort of 'something else' after this life. People who work in hospices have some interesting insights on death and the afterlife. Given that, life is way too short to give it too much of your time unless you want to make it your life... And if you do become a scientist and make it a career. But most importantly live your life- meaning experience the things you want to experience. Find the things that challenge you and enjoy the challenges, that's one way we grow. Personally I feel that's why we are here - to grow as individuals. And we can't grow without actually embracing life and living it to the fullest. I hope this is at least a little bit of help!
