I am considering getting a daith piercing and I’ve done a lot of research but I was wondering if anyone who has one or two can tell me more. I know it can get infected and it takes a long time to heal, but is it more likely to get infected than a helix piercing (which I already have) and is it more likely to be rejected? Also, I’ve heard it can help with migraines but no one really seems to know for sure, as there’s not really any substantial scientific evidence. If you have one and have had lots of migraines in the past, does it seem to help with them? And how much does it hurt? I do know it would hurt more than a helix (which barely hurt me at all btw although it did hurt a little and it did last a long time) bc the cartilage is thicker, but is there a drastic difference or just a small one? And how long does the pain last? Lastly, do you think it’s worth it to get one? I think they look super cool but if there’s too many risks involved I probably will reconsider getting one. Btw I know how important it is to find the right place to get it done and I will NOT get it done with a gun if I decide to get it.
Risks/benefits of daith piercings?

Just wanted to add that idk how a daith piercing can be done with a gun but I’ve seen some videos of people getting, like, their tongues or eyebrows or even weirder places pierced with guns (not saying those are weird places to get pierced they’re just the last places I would expect for someone to use a gun) so I bet someone somewhere in the world has tried it at one point.
