Okay so this is going to be a long one... I took Spanish 1 in junior high and got an A. So when I went to high school, I was a freshman in Spanish 2. I had an amazing teacher until she got pregnant and left after the first semester. We didn't have a real teacher for about a month and when we got one, she sucked. We didn't learn a single thing. My goal was to go up to Spanish 5 (AP) since not a lot of kids can take that course because only kids who took Spanish in junior high could go up to Spanish 5. Unless they took a spanish class in the summer. So this year I'm a sophomore in Spanish 3 and I got the same terrible teacher!!! I'm worried I won't learn anything and I will get a really bad grade in this course. On top of that, to take Spanish 4 you have to get an 80% on the entry level test. Which I don't think I will reach because my teacher is so horrible. I was thinking about retaking Spanish 2 this school year and just going up to Spanish 4 (Honors). Would this look bad for colleges?

I am planning to be a pediatrician or a pediatric oncologist. Is Spanish that necessary for these jobs? Also My dream school is UCLA, what do they think about foreign languages? Do they value them highly or disregard them?

So thanks for reading through that, I'm willing to listen to anyones opinions!
