Thinking of relocating from Houston inner loop area to Tysons, VA. I would like to know pros and cons about Tysons Corner. Jobs aren't a problem we both work for global companies and our positions will be relocated to Tysons or D.C., our current commute is 2 hours on I-10 to the The Woodlands, TX. We do not mind driving and we understand traffic in Tysons can be hard. After, dealing with I-10 and 45 traffic nothing seems to bad. With this being said we live in the 4th largest city in the United States. We do not live in the woods or a farm, we don't expect huge spaces. Currently we live in a 1/1 paying $2,987.62 monthly 800 sq ft. plus we pay for parking spaces, amenities, and lifestyle. In other blogs all the information i could gather is that Virginia is expensive.I have been in Tysons it seems cost of living is less to me. My renters insurance is less, my car insurance is less, electric is less. I don't get it. We have called to get this numbers confirmed with the energy provider and insurance provider. Houston has the 5th highest property tax in the nation. We aren't looking to buy a home and we are not selling a home. We are looking to rent in a high-rise our month budget is about $3,200.00 just in housing. We want the honest truth of cons about Virginia. We do not have kids, and we do not have debt. We have two dogs one old one young. Both educated individuals, we both have cars 2015-2016 no payments. We are not rich, we do not own allot of things. We are conservative and work very hard for what we have an we live in our means. I don't go out much, i do not drink. I do not smoke, i do not drink coffee or tea. No drugs. So, why does everything say that Virginia is a bad place to live? I don't understand. We need pros and cons please we beg you!
