I am considering relocating to California from New Jersey because I need a change and a lot of the opportunities in my field seem to be in Silicon Valley. A little bit more about me, I am in my early forties and have lived in NJ all of my life. My family and friends are mainly in NJ, so it is a bit scary to leave them. Has anyone made a similar move? If so, do you regret making the move? Is there anyone that regrets not relocating? Thanks everyone!

Okay, I live in Ohio and my family is moving to Georgia. I'm only twelve but I hope that this answer is useful. I have a lot of family in Ohio and I don't want to leave them but I have no choice. I have many friends here also. You have to remember that there may be new opportunities and things to look forward to. I am looking forward to helping my aunt with her ministry for young ladies. I know that I am giving up on a lot. I have been invited to a trip to Washington D.C. and I have recently won first place at a science fair and I can go on to district but I know I can't since I will be leaving soon. I will regret not staying because of these things but I know that there will be more opportunities for me soon. You just have to find that one thing or many things that you are looking forward to. You can always visit back to your home town for family. I hope that this helped.
