Well, I'm assuming you meant 3o mbps speed, so that should be very fast....and the router you have supports the speed, so it might be your house. It could have thick walls. It might also help to do a connection test on your computer, and see what speed it's picking up, it could be your computer which is being slow. If those don't work, try getting a wifi repeater and putting it somewhere in the middle of your house. Let me know if none of that works.
Yes, that's very slow so chances are it's your computer. So here's what I recommend: bring your computer in to a computer repair place, and tell them your network card is not working (or it might actually just be better if you tell them you have high speed internet and router but your computer itself is only getting a fraction of the speed it should be). I hope you get it fixed!
My phone is also slow... I have IPhone 6.... I will try to take my computer to get is fix though. Thank you!
You need to get familiar with google.com. You can type anything in the dialog box and google will find something about it. Type "how to improve wi-fi speed?" and see what you get. It only took me a few seconds to learn that wi-fi is only rated for 66 feet, but almost all equipment is good for at least 500 feet range and you can get a half mile or so by using a pop can. (Search images for "pop can wi-fi antenna".) I also learned that wi-fi involves two signals at right angles, so operation depends on which way you turn your unit. The base has at least two antennas so you can turn one up and the other straight out. So don't point all your antennas the same direction. Another tip is to reset your router when it gets slow: pull the power plug, wait a bit, and put it back in.
When you get that fixed, go back to google.com and search "google advanced" to see what else you can do.
You do realize this site is mostly for people who aren't good at google search or just don't want to, or want a more personal answer?
You wanted a personal answer, you got a personal answer. Be happy.
I used a speed test app and the result came out as 0.56 mbps download so I think it's still kind of slow....
