There is no one definitive answer that globally defines what everyone wants.
One person may want a good job or financial stability. Another person may want a loving relationship or marriage and family. Someone else may want good health without pain.
Mostly we get what we want by the effort we put into it and by the decisions we make. We are responsible for our own peace and contentment.
Real peace and contentment for me comes from serving God, Staying focused on my minstry, and bringing honor to God. I have a go to scripture at Philippians 4:6,7 that really helps me through the anxieties that can become a part of the day or life. It says: Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. Staying focus, putting forth every effort to not become distracted, and having full confidence in Jehovah is what helps me to stay positive, have peace of mind, and peace with others.
Peace and contentment come from taking an exit from the highway of achievement. Man wants more and more. His need becomes his greed. Enough is never enough. He wants success and more success. If we want to get out of this rat race, we must take an exit and go on to the highway called fulfilment where you live with contentment, where you are fully satisfied, you live with a positive attitude, where the focus is not to make money but to make a difference, you build a universal connection, you live with faith and hope and love and laughter. This is the way to get real peace from contentment - by going away from that illusion of achievement.
