In history we learned of jesus born 3 b.c. and died in 30 a.d. during augustus and tiberius's rein as the 1st and 2nd eperors of the Roman Empire, but it only showed that jesus was only a jewish prophet who preached about god .... and that the apostled paul and peter were martyred and killed in 68 a.d. during nero's reighn{5th emperor}. But this alone doesn't prove gods exsistance only as a delusional prophets preaching of a supreme being which angered tiberius, who during the roman empire age was seen as a god, and had jesus crusified for this disregaurd for the roman law of the time.

No, anyone who believes in God is deluded, there is no proof that Jesus was a real person there is no real proof that God exists, there is no scientific basis for any religion.
The answers given already cover the majority of the lies that religious people (especially Christians) use to "prove" something "there was this archaeologist who tried to prove...." etc.
Be rational, is there really a magical sky wizard who is everywhere, knows everything, is omnipotent, looks out for us, but then lets the worst things possible just happen to us and ignores the crying babies, wails of the tortured and the anguish of the starving?
No, but if he were real what kind of God would that make him?
Disclaimer: I'm not here to convince you to adopt a certain ideology. As an historian, I'm just here to give you facts as objectively as possible. It would be against the 'historian code', so to speak, to be subjective.
Hello smartie2009,
No, unfortunately for christians and jews(and muslims too actually), the bible doesn't prove God's existence. The bible, just being a book, can't prove anything.
As an historian, I've spend years studying everything there is to know about religion(when it comes to their history and basic principles. I've never done any serious bible, thora, koran etc. studies).
I, like many other historians, have discovered that every religion, especially the Abrahamic religions(Judiasm, Christianity and the Islam), are all based on other religions, whom existed thousands of years before the Bible.
Jesus for example, is based on a prophet called Horus(not the ancient Egyptian one, even before that) who is the son of god(the sun). He had 12 followers. Became a teacher at a very young age, died because of crucifiction and rose from the dead not long after.
The story of jesus has been told by people far before the bible and the people who created the bible, existed(thousands of years in fact).
Many of the stories in the bible are completely identical to stories of thousands of years ago, with a few exceptions like names, places and a few minor story changes. Hundreds of different peoples adopted these ideas.
One could argue that, because of all these different people had the same stories, these stories MUST be true.
Again, this is falls.
All these stories, are again, based on even earlier stories. These stories, completely different of course, are increadibly childish and foolish. Even 'hardcore' christian historians agreed with me on this.
The believes of these ancient peoples, where the bible is essentially based on, are completely falls.
For example: 1. People would believe that by sacraficing a goat, the sun would rise once more(even to this day, human life is unable to control wether the sun rises or not).
2. They believed that by killing lions and crocodiles, the rivers would flood, which was really important for agriculture.(though many people believe that by praing, they can influence things, we can all agree that weather does what it wants, if we pray or not)
The bible is based on loads of false assumptions and fake stories. These stories were created for a good reason of course, but are fake nonetheless. Almost every story in the bible is created to teach their followers moral values. Some of which aren't applicable anymore though.
Jesus never existed(no proof, mainly because he is based on Horus, who also didn't exist), floods described in the bible(though some historians are proving me wrong on a few minor happenings, which were just normal events though) never happened, there has never been a garden of eden etc etc.
The Bible is just a book, created by people who understood the world and our univserse so poorly, that the stories they created back then made sense, but these days don't make any sense at all and couldn't have happened. The only reason that until this day lots of people still believe them is because religion has a form of totalitarian control over its subjects and a simple lack of education helps religion too.
Thank you for reading this,
Razovy
To me god is fake as Santa and the easter bunny just think about the bible as story telling and the so called future telling is just god freaks reading and believing every word to the point they copy the deed to the letter so people will follow their bullshit believes and join their wars and pay their bills .
If you look at the history and the bible religion has killed and started more wars than any other cause and if god is love why is their so much war with death fire flood drought and plague and only a few story's of healing another point I like to point out if to think about it god is all knowing and made everything but he could not write a single book man wrote every word and those story's was passed down and changed like many tale tells start okay what if the bible was out of the picture how would anyone ever knew anything about him and can you prove gods real without the bible nope every preacher always says well if you read verse you will see god say
Just because you can't see something does not mean it doesn't exist. We cannot see the countless bombardment of germs, viruses, or bacteria that surround us all, but we know they exist because of the way we are affected by them. We cannot see the wind, but we see and feel the effects of it. We don't deny that those things exist even though they're invisible to the naked eye, so how much more so when it comes to the existence of God, the Creator of all things, Jehovah (Psalms 83:18, Revelation 4:11)......We see and feel the effects of His creative works even though we cannot see God with our literal eyes (Romans 1:20).

PROFILE: I am a geologist presently employed by the U.S. Geological Survey in Flagstaff, Arizona. For almost three decades, I have participated in scientific research in various fields of geology, including planetary geology. Dozens of my research articles and geologic maps of Mars have been published in accredited scientific journals. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, I spend about 70 hours every month promoting Bible reading.
I was taught to believe in evolution, but I could not accept that the immense energy required to form the universe could have originated without a powerful Creator. Something cannot come from nothing. I also find a strong argument in favor of a Creator in the Bible itself. This book gives numerous examples of scientific facts in my field of expertise, such as that the earth is spherical in shape and hangs “upon nothing.” (Job 26:7; Isaiah 40:22) These realities were written in the Bible long before they were proved by human investigation.
Think of the way we are made. We possess sensory perception, self-awareness, intelligent thought, communication abilities, and feelings. In particular, we can experience, appreciate, and express love. Evolution cannot explain how these wonderful human qualities came to be.
Ask yourself, ‘How reliable and credible are the sources of information used to support evolution?’ The geologic record is incomplete, complex, and confusing. Evolutionists have failed to demonstrate proposed evolutionary processes in the laboratory with the use of scientific methodologies. And while scientists generally employ good research techniques to acquire data, they are often influenced by selfish motives when interpreting their findings. Scientists have been known to promote their own thinking when the data are inconclusive or contradictory. Their careers and their own feelings of self-worth play important roles.
Both as a scientist and as a Bible student, I search for the whole truth, which reconciles all known facts and observations to reach the most accurate understanding. To me, belief in the Creator makes the most sense.

You only have to look around you to see evidence that there is a God.
Belief in God is not blind faith. Many scientists now believe in the existence of a Grand Designer. From the universe to the tiniest insect, all were created and came into existence because of God.
The apostle Paul told Christians in Rome that God’s “invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable.” (Romans 1:20) Since “the world’s creation”—particularly since the creation of intelligent human creatures, who could perceive God’s existence—it has been evident that there is a Creator of immense power, a God worthy of devotion. Those who fail to acknowledge God’s glory are thus inexcusable.
Think of the trees, the flowers, the insects. All have a part to play. The Book of Ecclesiastes describes the water cycle. Isaiah talks of the "earth hanging upon nothing".
So yes, there is scientific evidence to prove the existence of God, whose name is Jehovah - Psalm 83 v 18.
Yes. The Bible can scientifically prove that Jehovah exists. Please, check out Job 26:7. Back when Job was, most people believed that the earth was not hung on nothing. Now check out Isaiah 40:22. The word "circle" here, in the Hebrew language, refers to a sphere. Back then, most people thought the earth was flat. When you get a chance, check out how Jehovah helped keep the Israelites safe from diseases and poisons.
