Weight loss should be attempted over a long (and healthy) timescale. It can take a few weeks for your body to start letting you lose it, especially if you are gaining muscle tissue and tone.
No pills, potions or creams are going to make you lose weight fast or easy, they just want your money and even if you get somewhere while using it, the weight just comes back when you stop.
The thing to remember is; your body thinks it is helping you by storing fat "for later", when we lived in caves this usually meant winter and a lack of food. In our modern age it is unnecessary but our bodies don't know that. To start with you need to consume less calories than you use (especially fats and sugars), this makes your body think this is "later" and lets you burn the excess fat.
The simple answer is to exercise away the fat while using the diet. There is no trick to it, it just takes time. The harder you work and the more strict you are with your (healthy) diet the quicker your body will let you use up all those excess pounds.
If your weight loss plateaus, just keep going and your body will remember this is still "later" and the weight loss will start again.
