Question about landline service with internet?

That depends on a lot of things. The first thing is whether you have any other isp in your area. If dsl is your only option, they will tell you that you have to have the line to get the service. You don't have to pay for phone service to get internet, but they will try to tell you that you do. If there is any other way to get internet in your area, then the phone company will be a little easier to deal with. And if you still can't deal with them, then you just have to switch to the other isp.
