I have a hive that I started with a nuc this spring. It was started in late April. The nuc had a queen cage in it so I assume it is a young queen. The hive has been doing really well. We add a second box to the hive about 3 weeks ago. We checked the hive yesterday and noticed a supersedure cell along the vertical edge of a frame. It is new since the last time we checked the hive 4 weeks ago. There are also a few other queen cups and at least some of them are new. The hive seems to be thriving with lots of brood. They still have about 4 frames left in the deep box that was added. What should I do about the Queen supersedure cell? Should I split the hive? Wait to see if it swarms? Remove the queen supersedure cell? I could use some advice.
