I am interested in buying a bike from Craigslist and the seller said he will use this Cooperative Yard Sales service which I never heard of. Is this safe? They look safe to me but I was wondering if someone else used them and how safe are they? How fast is the shipping, how do they handle their orders, etc. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
Q: What exactly is this Cooperative Yard Sales? Are they SAFE?

I actually purchased the bike by following advices from some friends, one of them actually used this service and said that it's OK. I received my bike 4 days ago and i am currently in the inspection period. Thank you

It appears to be a complete scam:
I would avoid at all costs.
The service itself it's not a scam, you should read that post. The scammer was trying to mislead the victim to a fake website, www.cooperativeyardsales.co.cc NOT the real website, the person actually said that "The same exact email was posted by another person on the real coop’s blog under the Scams on Craigslist page: http://cooperativeyardsales.wordpress.com/scams-on-craigslist/ on July 7, he is doing this for a while now and someone should stop him."
So that doesn't mean that the service is a scam but that was a report for a scammer USING their name to rip people off. They have this kind of reports on their website too, so how can they be scammers and report themselves? Think about it...
actually that's a scam report referring to actual scammers that use that service to rip people off, that doesn't mean the actual service is a scam. They are legitimate and you should read that post, there are other like it and is a heads-up for new customers that doesn't know how to use the service. People that never used that service are most likely to be scammed because they don't know exactly how the service works and they can be mislead by scammers.
