I have a pole barn that I will be using as a Horse barn. The posts are 6x6 and so I was thinking I wanted to do 2x6 for framing because this will put interior and exterior boards flush. My question is about attaching the 2x6 framed wall to the already in place 6x6 posts. I have two vertical posts and then a 6x6 post that runs horizontally across the floor between the two (for holding fill in). What’s the best way to attach the bottom to the horizontal 6x6 and best way to attach to the vertical 6x6? Note I am in Florida and need something that will work for hurricanes.
