I'm a 67 year old flat footed male whose ankles are slightly pronated bilaterally. I have a lot of trouble walking without chronic pain. Last Sat. I developed a cramp in the arch f my R foot that took days to work itself out. I began using a strong toothed vibrator on my feet, and placing it on the balls of each foot produces weird nervous sensations of pulsing and electric-like prickling. The areas are insensitive to manual pressure. Why does this happen?

At age 67, a lot of things just don't work right any more. There are several nutritional deficiencies that can cause cramps, most often magnesium or potassium. Poor blood flow is another possible cause. You can study some books about nutrition to learn what you can do. Doctors have no training in nutrition, so they can't offer any advice.

I forgot to add that my vitamins and minerals are in great shape. I have a healthy diet and take supplements, and get regular blood tests. Thanks for taking the time to answer.
