Pls help me out with this mathematical analysis: A shirt costs 97 cedis but you have no cash, so?

Question

...  you borrow 50 from your Mum and 50 from you Dad. Now you have 100cedis. After buying the shirt for 97 cedis, you have 3 cedis left. 

You return 1 cedi to your Dad and 1 cedi to your mum and 1 cedi for urself. Now you owe your mum 49 and your Dad 49 so 49+49=98 plus the 1 cedi with you is 99 cedis. WHERE IS THE MISSING 1 cedi?

Small mental math! WHAT'S THE ANSWER?

Answer

This makes no sense at all- there is no missing money.
