I have a four month old who has only been able to sleep between 10pm and 7 am due to our neighbors. We are trying to move and get our break the lease fee waved since the office has yet to do anything about the excessive noise so we are getting statements from our family and friends who have heard it, we've got two reports filled with the police, and now I need to know what the health risks that can be caused by sleep deprivation. Is their any health risk I should be worried about due to her sleep loss? Ive done a little research and shes supposed to be getting between 14-17 hrs of sleep daily. Also are their any health risk for me to worry about? I have postpartum depression and Im worried me only getting 4-5 hrs of sleep a night could cause my depression to turn into post partum psychosis. Please Help!!!

If they are quiet between 10 pm & 7 am then they are not doing anything wrong. People are aloud to make noise outside of those hours. You cannot expect everyone to tip toe so your baby can sleep. People being loud during normal daytime hours will not get you out of your lease. If you want to break it you pay the lease break fee like everyone else.
This question was asking for any health issues that could be caused by sleep deprivation not about the break the lease fee which was waved since she broke her part of the lease agreement, which was to be considerate of your neighbors, or for information pertaining to her having to "tip toe" during non quiet time hours. I have followed the necessary steps to take care of all of that. If you dont have any information pretaining to health issues caused by sleep deprivation then please do not comment again. Thank you
